Buying & Shipping Original Paintings
I have placed my order, when can I expect delivery? – Once you place your order it will be processed and shipped within 5-7 business days. Once shipped, you will receive an email with your tracking details. All Original Artworks are sent with An Post by Registered Post and shipments require a signature on delivery.
How much is shipping? – Shipping is Free within Ireland. For Shipping Costs outside of Ireland each piece is priced according to it’s destination. Contact me at here and I can organise a quote for international shipping.
What countries do you ship to? – I ship Original Paintings anywhere in Ireland. For Original Artworks outside Ireland, contact me here and I can organise a quote for shipping internationally. Please note that there may be additional customs charges to pay on receipt of product.
What about returns? – If you change your mind, I offer a full refund up to 14 days after receipt. A refund will be honoured after artwork is returned in perfect condtion. Please see my Refund Policy for more details
Copyright – It’s important to note that the artist will always retain copyright of the painting. This means that nobody but the artist can copy, reproduce or photograph the work for distribution or commercial gain without the prior consent of the artist.

Taking Care of Your Painting
Once you’ve chosen, paid for and received your long awaited Original Oil Painting it’s important to get the most enjoyment by handling and taking proper care of your Artwork.
Room selection – Be aware of your location choice for the painting. Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight will fade the colours of an oil painting so try not to hang in direct sunlight. Avoid exposure to extreme heat, extreme cold, or to extreme humidity. Avoid hanging paintings directly over fires, radiators, or heaters. Be careful not to use picture lights attached very close to the painting as some light bulbs can get very hot. Do not keep in a damp room as it encourages mould and mildew, like bathrooms or kitchens.
Moving/Handling – Avoid leaning the front or back surface of a stretched canvas on a pointed or sharp object, like the corner of a table or chair, as it will leave a dent that will disfigure thework. Lean it on the wood of its stretcher bars or the frame, so that nothing presses against the canvas. If you need to transport the work, lay a flat piece of board or cardboard over the front and back of the painting, and then wrap it in bubble wrap. Bubble wrap could leave marks so keep away from the painting surface . Try to keep a painting upright and never lay it flat. Take care with the frame corners as they are easily damaged. Always handle the frame without touching the surface of the painting with hands. Carry a painting with two hands from the sides of the frame.
Cleaning – You might want to dust your painting regularly, so that a layer of dust does not build up. Only dust with a light brush. Do not use chemicals or household cleaning products. Do not use water or damp cloths. Do not use feather dusters. The back of the painting could be cleaned with soft brushes.
Hanging – Before you hang the painting, make sure the hook is strong, so that the painting doesn’t fall and get damaged. Make note of the weight of the painting and use suitably heavy screws and hooks. Try not to hang your art work too high or too low. You want to enjoy looking at it and hang it at a good eye level. A recommended height is 60″ from the floor to the middle of the picture, depending on your own height and the wall space.

Payment Plan Options
A payment plan is a great way to spread out your payments and is another option I offer a to make ‘owning an original painting’ more affordable and accessible. Get in touch and I can talk you through the options. I have outlined some of the frequently asked questions on payment plans. Plans are only available for Original Paintings
What time frames do you offer for payment plan?
I offer a 3 month time frame only. There is an initial down payment as a deposit.
You choose the date that you make your payments based on the day you pay your deposit, e.g., if you pay the deposit on the 1st of the month, the subsequent payments will be taken out on the 1st of each month until the artwork is paid in full.
- Once the deposit is paid, I will mark the painting as ‘Sold’ online
- The Painting will continue to be displayed online until the payment plan is completed
- Free shipping within Ireland
Can I cancel if I have paid some instalments?
If for some unforeseen circumstance you need to cancel your order, I can cancel the payment plan and refund any money paid. Once this happens, I will advertise the Artwork for sale again.
Can I decide to pay in full at any stage of the payment plan?
Yes, just get in touch and let me know so that I can calculate the outstanding balance and cancel the instalments.
When do I receive my painting?
I will ship the order once the last instalment has been paid.

Yes – we let you know of any updates to your orders, including when an item ships.
Where are your products manufactured & shipped from?
All products in the Print Shop are ‘Global Products.’ The store provides frictionless access to a global print network. This network helps us sell identical products manufactured in different locations all over the world. Products are manufactured from a third-party supplier, who then ship the products directly to you. The system automatically routes an order to the nearest lab to where it needs to be delivered. The only time this does not happen is if the item cannot be fulfilled locally.
Irish Customers – All products are shipped from within the EU
What rights do I have to cancel orders?
All European online retail platforms must adhere to the Consumer Contracts Regulations which came into force on 13 June 2014 (replacing the Distance Selling Regulations).
These regulations outline the various rights consumers have when it comes to cancelling orders which aren’t required. However, there are a number of exemptions to these rules and the types of products we sell fall under those items that you are unable to return once received, unless there is a defect with the product.
The circumstances where the Consumer Contracts Regulations won’t give you a right to cancel include tailor-made or personalised items. All printed products are tailor made, custom-made and bespoke to the end-consumers individual specifications and no order would exist unless a personalised commission was provided
What rights do I have to return products?
All products are Made to Order so unfortunately there is a no return policy (see above) unless the item has a defect. Please get in touch here if for any reason your item is defective, and I will organise a refund
When will I receive my product?
This will depend on the product ordered. Canvases can occasionally take up to 7 days to produce plus shipment times.
